Reports To : Head of Production Development
Regularly Meets/Briefs :
Producers, Head(s) of Departments in both Production and Technology in India and US (as required), and Global Leads for various disciplines.
Direct Reports :
Supervising TD (Technical Director), Lead ESA (Enterprise Sys Admin), Lead OSA (Operating Sys Admin), Lead TRA (Render Wrangler), Lead AV Support.
Essential Responsibilities:
The Director of Technologies, India (DTI) serves as the leader for all DWA Technology Operations in India. This India local role consolidates the management of data center operations, technology support, and on-show development (TD) efforts. Technology operations serves to support production, and as such, this individual must be trained in, and have a working knowledge of, DWA production department operations, workflows, toolsets and pipeline. Key responsibilities are:
Communication :
-
Regular and thorough communication and status to Head of Production Development. Provide regular input on infrastructure changes, staffing and overall health of technologies operation.

Meet regularly with India local production leadership collecting needs, and reporting on commitments and operational health. Communicate anticipated blocking issues and offer India local alternatives to address

Work closely with and communicate regularly with Technology & Production Executives in the US
Direction:

An essential role of the DTI will be in providing guidance and direction in the evolution of the DWA remote pipeline. This will include, but not be limited to, evaluation, requirements definition, and ultimate testing of new pipeline technologies (many of which will be developed locally).

Organize and direct the efforts across the ESA, OSA, TDs, Wranglers and AV support teams. Establish and provide training to leadership in each of these critical functions.

Total team size is anticipated to 18-25.
Training:
-
Establishing a lasting leadership that works is a key function of the DTI.

Hiring & thoroughly training the DTI replacement (given the temporary nature of this assignment) is a must.

Develop and execute a thorough and on-going Technology training plan for all staff.
Evaluation:
-
DTI must evaluate the progress of individuals in India and make recommendations for additional training, replacement, etc… as required.

For DWA employees, DTI will complete full performance reviews.
Qualifications:
-
Experience in operations of all departments of the DWA Production Pipeline.

Familiarity with Stereo pipeline changes, methods, etc.

Working knowledge of LSF/Queue operations.

Leadership experience in running a team of similar size and technical capacity.

Working knowledge of computing facilities operations and limitations.

Technical capacity to recognize and address trends with respect to resource requirements. Must be able to identify and propose solutions to bottlenecks, etc.
Education:
BS in CS, Math, Engineering or Physics required.
